Number of the day
Everyday we work on the number of the day. Today's number was 30. Students have to write the word thirty, break apart the number thirty, draw 30 cents and 30 tally marks. We all check our work together as one friend is the "teacher" leading our class.

Then we pick our paper and begin by writing a couple of words at the top of each page to help us remember all the details to our story.
